As a creative in the Church, let me ask you this: Do you actually believe that what you do carries eternal weight?
Because if you did—if you really saw the ripple effect of your work—you might show up differently tomorrow. You might approach the edit, the design, the shoot, the copy, the process with more intention. More prayer. More wonder.
But here’s the thing:
We often get distracted from why we’re doing something by what we’re doing.
Buried in deadlines, details, and deliverables, we forget we’re part of something bigger.
We confuse production for purpose.
Performance for presence.
I’ve been there. More times than I’d like to admit.
Lost in the noise.
Running on caffeine and timelines.
Forgetting the weight of what’s actually happening behind the scenes.
But here’s the truth:
Someone’s life might change because of a 30-second sermon clip you edited.
Someone may give church one more shot because of a graphic you designed.
Someone’s faith could be reignited because of a story you told through video.
Someone might actually understand Scripture because of the slide you built.
Someone might remember Jesus in their everyday life because of the hoodie you helped design.
You’re not just designing. You’re discipling.
You’re not just creating. You’re co-laboring.
What you do matters—eternally.
Don’t get lost in the production.
Stay anchored in the purpose.
Because the Kingdom moves through ordinary people doing unseen work with eternal impact.
And that includes you.
